Notice is hereby given that a General Election will be held in the Vista Fire Protection District on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 for the following directors:
One (1) Member of the Board of Directors Division A – Full Term of Four (4) Years;
One (1) Member of the Board of Directors Division B – Full Term of Four (4) Years;
One (1) Member of the Board of Directors Division C – Full Term of Four (4) Years;
The nomination period for these offices begins on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 8:00 am and closes Friday, August 9, 2024 at 5:00 pm.
If nomination papers for an incumbent director of the District are not filed by Friday, August 9, 2024 at 5:00 pm this nomination deadline will be extended to Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 5:30 pm to all eligible non-incumbents for that Division only.
If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed the Elections Code §10229 of the State of California.
